Thresher & Glenn: Royal since 1783

Thresher & Glenny have been shirtmakers for royalty since 1783 when George lll issued them with a royal warrant. And warrants have been re-issued by every succeeding monarch since, including our current Queen. That means they have had the longest running royal patronage of any private business in the world.

Their product is definitely for the discerning customer with shirts coming in a wide variety of sizes and styles so that you get exactly what you want. An off-the-peg two-fold cotton poplin shirt starts at £57.50 but if you want a little more luxury, you can opt for a bespoke cotton shirt for £10 upwards or even a heavyweight pure silk shirt for around £160.

Thresher & Glenny do bespoke suits for £1,100 or off-the-peg for £350-495. Plus they have a full range of accessories like ties and cuff-links and shoes by Harry B. Hart which come in between £135 and £200.

If you need to look your best for work or play, this is the shop to visit.

Thresher & Glenny are at 2, Gracechurch Street, EC3
